I want to disable the security on my router to see if it is causing the connection problems with my Xperion S tablet. Can anyone guide me, or explain in laymans terms how to do it, please.

Simply log onto your router and turn off any wireless security (encryption) settings you may have.

You need a cable to hook to the router. Most don't allow it to be changed unless you set it up that way. It defaults to direct connection only from the factory. Check your handbook or online manual for further instructions.
