I have a Panasonic Viera plasm TV, last night it made a loud popping noise twice. Now it will not turn on, the screen is black.
Is my TV dead? Could a fuse pop like that? The TV is about 4 yrs old.
I noticed a lot of upset customers on the Panasonic TV recall lists.

My experience.is fuses are silent when they fail...

My best guess that you have some electroic components that have failed that account for the sound.

If its out of warranty... its time to buy a new one... repairs usually would amount to a significant percentage of the price of a new TV... prices have fallen significantly in the last few years.
