I have a medium size polyp in my gallbladder ? Dr. suggested I have my gallbladder removed. Is it always necessary to remove the gallbladder or just the polyp ?

You don't need your gallbladder. Diseased gallbladders should be removed. Why have two surgeries when you only need one?
