Kitchen sink has a metal drainpipe coming out of the wall about 4 inches.
It has no threading, just smooth. Current they are using a radiator hose, with clamps to the pvc pipe that goes into the elbow.

What can you do with this drainpipe maybe if you break the wall further you would
See how the pipe is connected to another pipe. Wouldn't like that.
What to do

You can buy a poly connector, dual female at HD or Lowe's. One end slips over the chrome pipe, one over the trap arm. Use a longer trap arm if needed.

Thanks a million. I will look for those fittings. Metal chrome pipe in the wall is not threaded both inside and outside. It just smooth. The trap arm joins the wall pipe by a radiator hose.(Would be better with a rubber coupling) I guess the trap pipe is 1 1/4. Thanks again

Trap for kitchen sink should be 1 1/2"

Old houses 1 1/4", newer houses 1 1/2". I still see plenty of 50-60's vintage with chromed brass @1 1/4"

Brian, I don't know of any plumbing codes that allow an 1.25" trap on a kitchen sink... don't care how old the house is... ;)

OK kitchen I was thinking of bath . Looks like Pastor has them .
I did say OLD Houses. Why do HD. And Lowe's sell 1 1/4" p traps -even in MA!
Come to think of it, we do use 1 1/4" traps on the moonshine stills, they dump into the outhouse we have behind the doublewide. And "quite frankly my dear I don't give a d @"?" either.

I knew you guys used 1.25" traps in ways we don't up here!!

PS: They sell 1.25" traps in MA for bathroom sinks only... ;)

Actually I nailed 2 single wides together and Camo painted it. That way I can shoot deer out the bedroom window. YEEHAW. NOTE: Only 3" duals allowed. It's in the HOA rules for the trailer park.

I don't know if I'd quite call this a double wide, Brian... ;)
