Will a wall switch work instead of a remote for a ceiling light fan?
I installed a Hampton bay Mediterranean 52" Transitional Collection model 433158. I hooked it up without the receiver to the remote control. I also hooked up a Lutron fan control and dimmer Skylark S2-LFSQH-WH. The fan and light come on when I turn the breaker back on I don't seem to have the Lutron hooked up correctely. Yes you guessed it I am not even close to a licensed electrician. Just a girl trying to improve her house. Please help. Thank you

How many wall switches do you have? You will need 2 separate ones.

If the Fan has pull chains, you may be able to eleminate the receiver, fan wire is usually black, light wire is usually blue or black/white. Separate wires would allow separate control.
If you have a constant hot in the fan box, fan could be pull chain(usually quiter than if controlled).
Then have the light on the dimmer.
If a you get an extra wire to the fan or 1 is capped off, you could connect to a combined dual slider to control light and fan in 1 device.
