What did they do and was the refrigerator running properly after repair?

Are your settings in the middle like C or 3?

Most likely the coils under it are packed with dirt and dust. You have to unplug it, remove the back, and spray down coils and fan blades with a good liquid cleaner like 409, Fantastic, or Simple Green then wash them out with a water hose nozzle. Then vacuum up water with wet-vac. If you don't clean it you will burn up the compressor. These service techs hate to clean any coils.
