Do I have to change the valve in a new shower only install?
I am replacing my 9-year old Delta shower head and controller for a new Kohler shower only model. Will I have to replace my current valve to make it work with the new shower components?

The shower heads are replaceable without changing the valves system. These two items are totally independent of each other. Be sure to use white teflon tape on the shower pipe before you screw on the new head.

You can not use kohler trim on a delta body. Change the valve.
