    Urobilinogen
I had a urinalysis at urologist office. It was a dip stick test. There was microhematuria in urine, and I am having all appropriate follow up tests for same, however under the urobilinogen it states the level as 3.5 ( it did not give a range used ) however, normal ranges for dip stick urinalysis under medical literature says that anything over 1.7 is abnormal and warrants a full follow-up to determine the cause.

The cause as stated in medical literature states can be reduced liver function ( of course all that follows under same parameter) hepatitis.. ect

    Hemolysis ( hematolic anemia )

Break down of a large hematoma... and a few other listing such as lead and mercury poisoning.. blah bla

I spoke with the PA in the office and the PA stated that 3.5 was the NORMAL range under their parameters...

I am in the medical field myself and given there was NO range associated with the levels to determine what is and what is not normal it concerns me that the particular PA is not up on urinalysis and what is and is not normal, and give this is a dip stick test, the range of normal is whatever the manufacturer list as normal ranges and my number is outside of normal at 3.5

Am I right to question the P:A 's interpretation of normal or trust my gut which tells me the PA doesn't know what they are talking about.
