    Inheritance law of Louisiana
Parents had 10 children, all adults now. Father dies, then 1 son dies but he has children. When the mother dies is the estate divided among the remaining 9 or do the deceased's children also inherit. The son had died with no will.

Louisiana probate law is confusing, based as it is upon Civil Code, and not the Common Law. However I think the heirs of the predeceased son would get a share (The estate would be divided 10 ways.)

You should understand that inheritance is not automatic. The estate will still have to be probated.
