My brother and his girlfriend have a baby together then she has a 3 yr. old she left the kids with him and has not been back in 4 days what can he do as far as their baby we live in Montana PLEASE HELP

He can sue her for custody and child support.

If he is unsure whether she absented herself voluntarily, has he filed a missing person's report?

AK, can he go to the police station and get a protection order? Should he let DHS know? And what about the fact she has been verbally abusive to them both and the baby is only 3 months old.

First, is he on the birth certificate for the infant or signed an acknowledgement of paternity? Second, is the whereabouts of the father of the 3 yr old known?

I see no reason to notify DHS yet. And what does he need protection from?
