I am wondering about the age restrictions of a dating couple, I know this couple and there is no sex involved they both want to stay pure until marriage. But they like to say they are in a relationship they talk and go in a group to events and might hold hands at times but that is it. He is 17 and she is 13 and both have had to mature very fast due to family situations. And no she does not look or act 13 more like 16 or 17 both ways

There aren't age restrictions on dating, but she would need approval on 'dates' by parents and abide by all their rules and the laws. Age of consent is 16.

I've never seen a law that controls age gaps in dating. However, minors are under the control of their parents when it comes to dating.

I really have to wonder what a 17 yr old would have in common with a 13yr old, no matter how allegedly mature.

I don't care how old she looks, I do wonder what a 17 year old sees in a 13 year old or has in common with her. That is kind of messed up. She is not in High school, does her parents even allow her to date, let alone date a 17 year old. What is wrong with girls your own age?
