I just purchased a house with a 2 hp grinder ejector pump with a alarm which is under two years old . The alarm went off just after we moved in ,we contacted installer and was told that the condition of electrical wires indicate that there was a surge, most likely caused by a lightning strike within the area which is causing pump to fail . We were told if they continue to fail that our only recourse is to purchase a new pump ($5,000) ! Has anyone experienced s a similar problem ?
