How do I wire a heat pump to ac only

It is going to depend upon the brand of equipment. Some energize the reversing valve for cooling & some for heat.

Find out if the reversing valve is energized for heating or cooling (check manufacturer's specs or the wiring diagram on the inside cover of the heat pump).

Then you would need to wire C and Y to the contractor Low Voltage leads on the heat pump, and possible the reversing valve.

If you put a Brand and model # in it would help a lot.
