My 3 yr old daughter had an earring infection, the earring had slipped and cut into her ear as well (partially imbedded) she had a fever, loss of appetite and vomitting as well. When the earring was removed and the wound cleaned, the symptoms (which had lasted 2 days) resolved by the next morning... what could cause this?
