    Interior house soundproofing
I just bought a house with a basement suite. You can hear everything. Is there a way of blowing soundproofing insulation into the ceiling? What would fix this problem affordably?

    Thanks

Insulation doesn't have much transmission loss. You need something heavy like drywall, 1/2 or 5/8".

What is the celing down stairs made from ?

What type of flooring is there ?

You may need to replace basement ceiling and make sure there is padding and carpet on floor upstairs.

Also, do you share heating and air conditioning duct work ?
