Hi guys thanks for all your help but I have another question regarding web cams I foolishly sent 70 pounds to a lady in ghana to buy a web cam so I could see if the pictures she sent was the same as her face on web cam but shock horror they were.anyway in the past I have seen 3 women on web cam but the problem each one of them has is the mic doesn't work, the person who I have sent the money to has set up the web cam and you can guess the mic doesn't work now this is new as far as I am aware that she bought with my 70 pounds,
She told me the problem she has an old pentum computer what ever that is Im not very good with computers so any help you can give me would be much appreciated.

You are being actively SCAMMED!!

This is a scam, she always had web cams, most likely works in a large office with dozens of people doing this. They have people who work in shifts that and hire a few pretty girls to do web cams.

Often the people chatting are grandma's, men and the such.

Thanks for your reply but she is definitely at home with this web cam she says she is their doing an accountants course my feeling is she has not used the money I sent for a web cam but has borrowed one from a friend and used my money for something else I tried to get her on skype this morning but she says she has unplugged the camera so we can see each other this evening but the info I require is about the mic should it work on any computer system.

Yes it should work fine as it's integral to the webcam.

Would it make any difference with regards to the distance i.e. uk to ghana

Shouldn't do, but they could well be using a cam without a mic, especially if it's borrowed.
Ps cams are LOW cost items..

So it sounds like she did not use my money to buy a web cam but borrowed one

I'm not sure if it was yourself that commented regarding visa somebody said if she has an american passport she does not need a visa to visit the uk can she then stay for unlimited time or just 6 months
