    Make an organized list
A balloon game at the county fair give 1,000 points, 500 points, and 250 points for each balloon that you pop. If Stewart buys 2 darts and pops 2 balloons, how many possible points can he score?

Anywhere from 2,000 to 500 points. You would have to add up each possibility.

Thank you - I already did the list and totaled each answer, there are 6 possible answers, 2000, 1500, 1000, 750 and 250. My son is telling me the answer is 6... which correct, there are 6 different possibilities, but, I would assume if they are asking how many possible points, it would be 2000. That was his original answer and it was marked wrong. This is only 5th grade advanced math and I am having a hard time as a parent - lol! If the correct answer is 6, then I am assuming they want how many possibilities of points and I just read the question wrong...

Remember that both balloons don't have to be the same point value. For instance, one could be 1000, and another 250.
