Trying to find a book I read in middle school, I think the title was Fear?
The book was about a girl who gets into a motorcycle accident, it crashes into a wall, but she is transported through time and finds herself an old woman in the woods gathering acorns for food and finds a fox tail, she goes back to her hovel and people come and lynch her, she sees red evil eyes in the face of one of the villagers. She is then blasted back to her real life. As she recovers she is haunted by this evil, then a lady dr. talks her into hypnosis and the evil comes into the dr. she has red hair. The book ends with her taking a picture of a fox and throwing it into the fireplace, as it burns the fires leaps out at her and then its all over with because she killed the evil because she took the picture and burned it.
