How do I find out if restitution has been paid?
How do I find out if a person is on probation and has paid off restitution? I asked and suspect this person lied to me

Are you the victim? You should have been mailed a letter, to set up restitution, from the county when they were convicted.

If you are not the victim or have something to do with the case, you can not find out.

If "not the victim or have something to do with the case", I believe OP could check the court file to see the terms of probation. That would indicate if probation still applies. But yes, whether restitution has been paid would be none of OP's business.
