I have a warrant from 1998 in Illinois and just got a DUI in Indiana were I'm setting in jail but posted bond and now they won't let me out because they said Illinois was going to indict me its been a week and they still haven't came how long do they have to do so?

Extradite you not indict you have already been charged, You have not told us why, and what the warrant is for, that all makes a large difference in some ways.

They can take several weeks, that is not uncommon, often there is no rule as to how long you can be held on some warrants, such as violation of probation.

You can and should hire an attorney where you are going to be moved to, to see if bail can be arranged there. But often, you will sit in jail, till you go to trial there for the DUI, and after that is done, then they will move you to where the warrant is for.
