I am a 22 yr old dad I don't get to see my son cause of his mom and step dad I had visitation but when I step dad showed up I had a stroke 3 yrs ago.I am slow but I love my son more than life I just found out today the stepdad is planning on trying to adopt him and not tell me. This little boy is all I AM LIVING FOR .if I see him out and want to talk to him he gets pulled away by his mom or stepdad someone help me please. I don't know what to do

That's just sad! Sorry to hear that. You would have to find legal help! They always tend to do what is best for the children.

First, you need to register with the putative father's registry in your area. This should prevent him from getting an adoption. Next you need to go to court for joint custody and visitation.

Are you listed as the father on the birth certificate? Have you established paternity? Also, have you gone to court for visitation?
