For wind turbines, what is the best generator to couple with?
There are several generators like DC(series, shunt, compound) and salient pole, turbo, induction etc etc,out of which is ideal for coupling with a wind turbine considering cost, voltage stability, power output, weight, synchronising etc?

You should take these questions to the generator manufacturer's... if there's money on the table I'm sure they'll be happy to help...

Yes, but the engineers that work with generator manufacturer's can tell you if their products are suitable for the locations and applications you have in mind...

Wind turbines are big business in Ontario and Quebec right now, but yes, it is SUNCOR's engineers who are running the show. No one can touch their expertise 'yet'.

No civilian engineer can answer your question, sorry.

As the wind speed varies, the output of generator should be rectified, then inverted to AC.
