8 days late is too early to test. For a reliable answer you would need to be at least 2 weeks, or 14 days, late to test.

So your saying to test around the 14th- 16th

That would be the best.

And that is just when you should start to test, some women do not test positive till even 4 or 6 week late.

But 2 week late is a fair estimate of when to start, any sooner is too early.

If still negative at 2 week late, just wait till time for next period and see if it comes
