Well I'm 12 years old. I live with my mom dad and little sister. My mom has been making my life miserable for ages. I don't even enjoy anything anymore. I'm more happy at school or at my friends house's anywhere but home.She shouts and has major mood swings every single day. When I'm at school I hate the fact that I have to go home. I would rather be somewhere else.

Like today she told me to get ready and I had nothing to wear because most of my clothes were in the wash after my holiday. So she went ballistic and then she said you either find something in 2 minutes or we're leaving so I told her I would stay at my nans. Then she flipped even more and after I found a pair of jeans that were mine in her room I ironed them. Turns out they were dirty too. Then I found a clean pair in my closet and they needed ironing too.

So she just took me in the car left me at my nans and went and I feel so alone. I have no older sisters or cousins I can go to get advice from, nothing. I feel worthless. I don't know what I could do to make it stop. Any advice?

Had you looked better in your own closet you would have found your jean and had time to iron them. So I understand your mom going ballistic. What you should do is simple, get with your moms program and do it well, on time, and correctly. You don't want to though, do you? You would rather mouth off with excuses instead of doing as you are told in a timely fashion.

Then you have the nerve to be angry when she does as you suggested?? That's totally unacceptable for any 12 year old. Get with the program and do as you are told.

OBEY your parents. Your mom is nicer than I would be for sure. I never took that kind of selfish crap from my kids. What parent would? Your mom doesn't hate you, but she might hate the way you behave and go ballistic.

You have a day a week where you wash, iron and put away your clothes. If she does the laundry discuss learning to do it yourself. Then take some time each week to do chores she expects you to. As talaniman said get with the program or better yet be proactive and be a step ahead of her so that you do not give her an opportunity to get upset with you.

Who is supposed to wash and dry and iron and put away your clothes? There should be no confusion as to what is clean or dirty. Clean clothes get folded up and put in drawers or ironed and hung up in the closet. Dirty clothes go into a special basket or hamper.
