Just reinstalled transmission, but belt came off the idler pulleys. Anybody have a suggestion as to ho I can relax the "spring" long enough to get belt back on? Very strong spring!!

Just me again. Did not want to drop the mower deck, so I made a tool to stretch the spring without taking anything apart. Belt is on fine now, but mower is dead electrically!? Shorted seat switch, shorted backup tranny switch, manually pushed brake switch, but nothing. 12 volts on leads from battery, even headlights will not light.

I guess I am back to tracing wires.
