    Theft under 5000, second offence.
I was charged with theft under 5000 back in high school for taking a laptop from an open locker. I was 15 at the time. I am 20 now and last month was caught stealing from old navy a pack of 20 dollars shirts, stupid I already know. Police were called and I have a court date and fingerprinting. I just need to know what's going to happen the day of court?what are my options? Am I going to jail?

This is your second offence, and the court will have the opinion that you didn't learn the first time. Who knows what's going to happen the day of court; you don't have any options but I don't think it will mean jail time but if you didn't have a record before, now you will have.

The day of court, you'll enter your plea. You can receive your sentence right there and then, or await your trial for a later date. If you're convicted and given a jail sentence, you won't have to surrender till a later date.

If you don't already, get yourself a lawyer or ask for a public defender. They'll definitely be looking at your past offense, so don't try handling this alone.
