Bio dad comes back in picture
Do I have to let my daughter see her bio dad? He has always denied her and never shown any interest at all . She is now 10yrs old, does she have a choice or can she be forced to see him? I believe he is only getting upset because of back pay child support.

He's the father... now you can be a pain and he can go to court and get joint custody and get to see his daughter a lot more than he wants to right now.

If there is a visitation order in place now... you would be breaking the law by not following it to the letter.

You tell him take you to court for visitation rights. IF he does tell them you prefer he doesn't have visitations and why. If he is granted visitations request they be supervised.

Without a court ordered custody... he could even take the child... without that order he has equal rights to custody as you have.

And I doubt a court would require supervised visitation without a darn good reason...

Yes you have to have very good reason. I'm wondering does your child even know the father?

Why would you deprive your child from the opportunity of knowing her father? Granted, he hasn't been much of a father, but maybe he's changed.

In any case, unless you can show he is a danger, then he will likely win visitation in court. If you try keeping him from her, the courts will not look kindly on you.
