    What can we talk about?
Righto, this is my first question on here, I need some help on a difficult part of my life.

I am going to meet my new girlfriend, who I met off the internet, she want's to meet me, I want to meet her, but both of us are very shy. I was wondering, if anyone has any tips of what to talk about when we meet? I don't want it to be embarrassing, I want it to be fun and enjoyable.

    Thanks in advance! :D

I know first dates can be scary but you guys have talked through the internet, so I think what you should do is just start talking about what u've already talked about. Like say she likes dogs and would like to get one, just start a conversation like, so you like dogs when are you planning on getting one? Just things like that. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Honey, she already likes you so relax. You must have had loads of conversations on the internet so just pick one and talk about it in better detail. Maybe you could start by talking about her family. How many bros and sisters she has etc. Then hobbies and things you have in common. Try to remember things she has already told you about herself, it is always nice to know someone was listening to you. What kind of date are you going on?

Whatever she talks about do three things. 1. LISTEN, 2. GIVE FEEDBACK, 3. Do NOT interrupt. You should be fine with whatever you two talk about.

Why not make your first date an activity so that it can help mask any awkward pauses? Visit a new display at the museum, go ice skating or a wine tasting. In my opinion these are better than activities that demand all of your attention like the movies or a comedy club and leave ample time to talk and connect, but also give enough interruptions to give you time to mentally regroup if needed.

Good Luck to you and your Lady Friend,

    Emily

First dates can be scary, but I'm sure it will be all right. Talk about movies and music. Talk about pretty much the same things as you did online with her and what not. It may be differnet knowing that it will be in person instead of the internet but it will work out. And the best of luck!
