For a long time I have had this clear, stretchy, thick substance come out of my nose. Sometimes it gets so clogged up that it sticks to my throat. I don't know what causes this or why it won't go away. Im not sure if this is normal or not.

I believe that what you might have is an allergy, because you have had mucous so long. As for it being thick, that is because you aren't drinking enough fluids.

Try Benedryl for a while. Gargle frequently with warm salt water to get rid of the post nasal drip clogging the back of your throat.
If it doesn't work, see an allergist.
