Can you have a glass of wine the evening prior to a fasted blood test?
I have an annual exam with my PCP on Thursday and need to take a fasted blood test prior to then. I wanted to go in tomorrow morning, first thing, but had a glass of wine at 7 pm along with a large meal (asparagus, artichoke hearts, mushrooms, and quinoa) with dessert. Can I go in tomorrow morning at 9AM to get my blood drawn or will the wine skew my test results? Also, I am taking Doxycycline Hyclate 100mg, can I take it this evening as well?
