I have had light spotting for 7 days now, it's brown and has no weird odors. I'm not sure if I'm pregnant (I've been using contraceptives, but since they aren't 100% effective I'm a bit worried), I've read that spotting can occur during pregnancy but am just wondering how long it can last for since mine has been 7 days already. Any insight would be helpful, thanks in advance.

Also, I'm sure the spotting is not just a light period because my period isn't suppose to come until sometime next week.

Periods can come early, and every woman experiences an off period at least once in their life.

Brown discharge usually indicates old blood, it's your body cleaning itself out. But brown discharge can also occur for other reason, none of which we can diagnose online.

If this is a concern you should talk to your doctor. If you believe it may be a pregnancy, wait until your scheduled period is at least 2 weeks late, then test using first morning urine.
