I'm 18 and my father has never really paid child support like he was court ordered to. Can I take him to court in order to get the back time child support?

You NEED to. That is the only way you are going to get anywhere with this. The sooner the better
No, you cannot. That would have been for your mother to do. Child support is given to the custodial parent for the care and raising of the child. Child support is not given to the child itself.
Actually YOU can't. The money is owed to your mother and she has to pursue collection.
Is your mother alive?
Yes!!
Your mother can take your father back to court, but you cannot.
