Side lower back means your kidneys are effected by the UTI. Please see your doctor for a proper diagnosis and probably a series of antibiotics to get you back on the safe side. No, I don't advise any OTC for this. It has gone too far if you are experiencing so much pain.

Were you not experiencing any preliminary discomfort before this; urinating too much; not being able to urinate at all with stinging sensation from you urethra?

If you have a UTI the doctor should have prescribed medication to clear it up. UTI's don't just clear up on their own. In fact, they get worse if left untreated.

My question is, if you're not on medication to cure this, that means you didn't see your doctor. So how do you know you have a UTI?
