My husband, a Canadian citizen filed for my PR on 24 Feb 2012. Does the new CONDITIONAL PERMANENT RESIDENCE RULE for spouse effective from 25 oct, 2012 apply to me?
We have been married for less than 2 years and have no children. I got my visa stamped on 20 sept 2012 and I landed in canada on 26 oct 2012.
On landing the COPR letter IMM 5688(04-2012) E was attached to my passport. Within 2 months I got my PR card.
But, nowhere its written that I am on conditional PR or whether I have acquired full permanent resident status. Please clarify this.
