    Satellite dish replacing prewire cost
I currently live in the Chicago area, bought a condo and had it prewired with the central control box in my closet. The original cable guy did a poor job by not attaching the wires correctly and somehow rusted the wires out. Over the last several years the wires have been running outside my condo, but currenlty my HOA wants them cut because it's a violation. So my question is can you recommend someone/company to rewire it internally to my central panel and how much do I expect to pay. Dish is on top of third story. I live on the first floor.

You are going to have to have a couple contractors physically look at it and provide estimates...

There are far too many unknowns for someone to even venture a guess without a site survey.

It can be anything from easy... to almost impossible... depending on if there is a cable chase to pull new cables, or if none effectively exists because it was cabled like someone runs electrical cable during construction tucked and stapled before the walls were finished requiring permits and approvale of the HOA and other tenants to touch walls that are not yours or community property..

Who installed a panelboard inside your closet?

As far as you doing the work, the answer is most likely No! As Smoothy indicated referenced above, only licensed electricians can work on multifamily dwellings.

In your case, the HOA should have a list of contractors they call to do the work.
