Recognised U.k degree which gives credits to work experience
I have 30 years experience in building services engineering such as air-conditioning and refrigeration, power distribution, pasenger lifts etc. In my training I have completed a four year special engineering apprenticeship including theory at a local university. Further I have studied for engineering council examinations (UK) and also completed an advanced diploma course in air-conditioning and refrigeration and also had training in theory and practicals with Hitachi technical school Japan. I have worked in two leading companies in the senior executive grade for several years and also for Drake & Scull in UAE as an engineer. I am a member of Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers U.K. Presently I am the proprietor of a building services engineering contracting company in Sri Lanka. My problem is I do not posses a degree and would like to know whether I can obtain a degree from a recognised university in U.K. or USA cosidering my work experience.

You will need to contact various schools, that offer the degree you want and see. Often it is not the life skills, itself, but the training classes, and the certifications you will be given class credit for. Do not expect to get a degree just from the work, it may normally at best, give you one or two years of credit. And all universities that I know, require at least one year work at their school for graduation.

So you need to check with your association and see if they have a referral and then just start contacting schools of interest.
