Can mites jump? Can they ridein you're clothes to other places if so how do you get rid of them. Does boric acid kill them? What do I look for in a exterminator? Most don't deal in killing mites. How do I know for sure if it's mites and not fleas. I can't see them

1. Can mites jump?
Not very well. Most species are good enough climbers that they can fall onto things, however.

2. Can they ride in your clothes?
Yes

3. If so how do you get rid of them?
Find out what kind you have and eliminate the source, then clean everything.

4. Does Boric Acid kill them?
Not very well. If, and that's a big if, they ingest it it will kill them.

5. What to look for in an exterminator?
Someone who will take the trouble to give you a species identification and a plan on how to get rid of them before asking you for money.

6. How do you know it's mites and not fleas?
Fleas are naked eye visible. Otherwise, see no. 5.
