Can unresolved tooth decay lead to skin sores?
I have extensive tooth decay and don't have money for dentists. Can leaving my teeth to decay turn to soars on my head and body?

They can cause bone degeneration... particularly the jaw bone... sepsis and death. Usually when the bacteria make it into the bloodstream.

There are dentists who will take charity cases (patients who can't pay much) or who will work out an easy-payment plan. There are also low-income resource centers that may include medical and dental offices (there's one near me that also has a food pantry and resale shop). Universities sometimes have low-cost dental clinics with student dentists overseen by those in practice.

If all else fails, go to your hospital ER and see if you can hook up with a social worker who will figure out what to do to help you.

Your teeth and your mouth health mean everything to the health of your body. Bad and missing teeth will affect your brain and skin, your speech, your ability to eat, your breath, your physical and mental well-being, your very life.

If you need more specific help for your area, please post which city you live near and we will advise further.

We can't know if your sores are directly related to tooth decay or not, but they can be, since you can have infections in your gums. That's just the beginning of what it can lead to.
