Statute of Limitations of a Judgement on ontario drivers license
Was in an accident in 1989. Valid drivers licence, invalid insurance. Insurance had been cancelled due to non payment, but had valid slip to show police. Cannot renew licence until judgement for damages paid.
Are they any statutes or rules in my favour?

The way it works where I live is that you pay it off and then you can apply to get your license restored. No way around getting it renewed until you take care of it.

Statute of Limitations applies to the time within which legal action must be taken. Once suit is initiated the SOL clock stops. Since you were sued and a judgment obtained, SOL doesn't apply.

    When was the judgment awarded?
