9 week old puppy not eating, being sick
I brought home my gorgeous new shih tzu x toy poodle puppy yesterday an he was great, running around playing are his dinner fine, slept 7hr through the night in his crate without crying, but today he won't eat an when he did he was sick, he isn't very playful an just wants to sleep. He is drinking an weeing an has pooped once. Is he just adjusting to his new home or should I b worried?

Seeing as how we have hit the weekend, I would keep close watch on him and not make him do too much. If he is still acting like this on Monday, he needs to be seen.

I rang a vet but as its out of hours they wanted £128 to look at him! Which having paid £500 for him I don't have. I tried calling pdsa an we have to wait 3 weeks to register so I'm feeling a bit stuck! Wish there's was a pet nhs!
He is very sleepy but if I put him on the floor he will wonder about for 10 minutes before coming back to sleep. Im hoping its just a case of home sickness an he'll perk up with lots of love.

Did you change his dog food, or are you feeding him what the breeder was feeding?

In that case, I would go to the vet. Keep an eye on him. If he's vomiting a lot, or has diarrhea, give him some pedialtye to keep him hydrated. If it gets worse, and he becomes lethargic, you're going to have to shell out the money for a visit before Monday.

You can also feed a very bland diet and see if the tummy issues pass. Browned hamburger and rice or boiled chicken and rice will do the trick.
