    Mozilla Firefox
    I enjoy using Mozilla Firefox. However one problem I have is in using the search engines. There is a history of previously entered queries. This would not be a problem, but my stepson entered some inappropriate queries. These pop up when ever I type a word that begins with the same letter as the inappropriate words.
    My questions is this: how do I get rid of this history on the search engines?

    Thanks.

    Try this:

    Depending on your operating system (yes, the menus are structured differently for the windows and unix versions), one of the following will work.

    Tools menu-->Options-->Privacy-->Saved form information

    Edit menu-->Preferences-->Privacy-->Saved form information

    From this point, you can hit "clear" to delete all the saved queries, and deselect the "save information" checkbox to prevent any further entries from being stored.

    :)

    If we are talking about the little search box next to the address bar, then you can also just right click in it and choose "Clear Search History". I'm assuming that would be the same for Linux, but can't check while at work :)
