    Blood in stool?
    Hello I've recent had colitis appendicitis bowel obst and pancreatits today I went to bathroom and saw what looked like a bloody ribbon all through it.ive had some severe ab pain but not constant.can bloo be like a solid ribbon and your stool?I've not eaten anything red??

    You can't know for certain without an occult fecal test, that you will need to discuss with your doctor. If you are seeing what you suspect looks like blood you need to contact him anyway.

    Not my call to make, with your recent health history, the best person to give you an answer will be your doctor, who is in tune to your medical problems. Colitis can cause blood in the stool and the abdominal discomfort along with all your other recent medical problems this is no time to take chances. Give him a call please.
