Mum always disagrees with dad on piercing? Tired of mixed opinions.
My parents are divorced. I know that's common. But I asked my dad about a piercing (if I could get it) and he said yes.
My mum said no. It annoying as this is not the first time! Guess what? My mum got the last word. And now I'm not getting ti. I don't need people telling me I'm immature, I understand parents say things for a reason, but does anybody have any suggestions for them to talk or compromise? Or should I just give up?
By the way my mum said I can get the piercing next year or in 2 years time so I'm not necessarily bothered about the piercing, more about the fact that they can't get on (I know they're divorced) but it's just annoying and awkward on my behalf.
    Don't need rude comments please.

Your mother already said no. She DID say in a year or two.

No one on here is going to go against your mother's wishes.

Which parent do you live with and is mainly responsible for you?

I see you are 13 and do have pierced ears so what piercing are you wanting?

Now I see your new post that you ARE getting that piercing tomorrow. If you want your parents to not disagree so much quit pitting them against each other by going to the other one Bécause one said NO.

I'm not quite sure what part of my post you did not understand.

    I did explain it ”properly”

Perhaps I will explain it to you as if I were speaking to a four year old. Mother said no. The answer is no, not until you are old enough.

Well ,FYI I asked my DAD FIRST. So don't talk about what you don't know. I never said I was getting the piercing tomorrow so to be honest if you don't know what your saying can you be please be quiet?

Then she has the last word on this.

My sibs and I used to ask our dad for stuff and try to wear him down (he was very easygoing). Our mom was the tough one who would tell us, "Your father and I have decided...." We knew she had overruled him. Now that we are moms and dads ourselves, we understand why she said what she did and are glad she had the last word on many things.

P.S. You are getting the piercing anyway, despite your mom's saying no?

    Thanks
My mum said no and I can get it later but my dad was saying yes now.
I'm just impatient but I get it now.

In case you are blind is rude. You have started about 4 posts on this today. You said you ARE getting the piercing tomorrow. So my question is why do you put your mom and dad against each other and then claim you don't like them arguing?

I was just asking a question. If you know nothing or have nothing to input then please just stop talking and stop offending people.

It's called being facetious. Do you know what facetious means?. I didn't think so.

Besides, I saw the rude comment you said to NOhelp. Now who is being rude?

Perhaps you should focus more on your studies with your spelling and grammar and less about piercings.

Now... back to your original question. If your mother said no then the answer is No! Don't play mom against dad.

Again, I I will tell you that no one on this site is going to go against your mother's wishes.

My mother used to tell my sister and me, "If God wanted you to have holes in your ears, He would have put them there." Both my sis and I were over 18 when we finally got our lobes pierced.

So, you see, things could be worse for you. ;)
