Can't figure out what channel to put the TV on so my son can play his Xbox.

Normally it is the AUX channel. Depending on what TV and remote you have, sometimes the remote control has a video source button. If none of that works just get the xbox all hooked up and on then change the station until you see the xbox. Usually it is a lower number channel.
