    Cleaning problem with toilet
I am having a problem with my toilets. I must clean them two or three time a week. Black mold like lines running down from the holes or pink ring. Should I try cleaning the tank?

Yes, you may want to add a cup of bleach to the tank once a month. Also when you clean the toilet make sure your toilet bowl brush gets really good up under the rim. Also, I have found "The Works" cleaner to be really great.

    Hi Sandysun

    Sorry, but this advice,
    Quote:

is bad advice and will not only void any warranties a manufacturer would have on new toilet tanks but will very quickly lead to warped flappers and degrade any rubber or neoprene washers on the toilet tank bolts, flush valve, and the fill valve.

However, with that being said, Homechef can CAREFULLY pour some bleach or CLR (calcium lime rust remover) down the OVERFLOW pipe in the center of the tank one a day for a few days and that should help quite a bit (let sit for 10 minutes before flushing the toilet)! After the initial CLR or bleach use, Homechef can do this once a month for maintenance!

    Have a good day all!
