    Scan interpretation
Just wondering what all this means from a scan?

    Current Gestation: 27+ weeks.
    Growth.
Report: The foetus was in longitudinal lie and cephalic presentation. Liquor volume was normal. AFI 15cm. Placenta was anterior with the lower margin 5cm from the os.
    BPD 6.7cm.
    HC 23.9cm.
    AC 23.2cm.
    Femur length 5cm.
    Estimated foetal weight 1046 grams.
The growth parameters are around the mean for the expected gestation excepting the head circumference which is slightly reduced below the mean. Foetal cardiac and somatic activity was observed. There was a low resistance flow the umbilical vessels with continuous forward flow throughout diastole and no flow reversal. SD ratio 3 was just below the mean.

You have to ask her if she hasn't told you.

I'm confused by your question as it mentions "liquor." There is no liquor in the pregnant uterus.

    Quote:

The foetus was in longitudinal lie and cephalic presentation.
This means that the baby is up and down rather than side to side. Baby's head is down.

This may be a little concerning as the placenta is very close to the cervix. However, at 27 weeks this may change.

    2.5 pounds or 1 kilogram

Head circumference is a little small for gestational age.

I am a Registered nurse, not a radiologist. Considering my profession is in Labor & Delivery, but not radiology, this is the best I can interpret these findings.

You will have to discuss your concerns with your doctor.
