    Connector Hoses for Washing Machine
I recently replaced a leaking (split) hose to the washing machine. I purchased metal (?) instead of rubber hoses. Now the hose is leaking at the part where the hose is joined to the connector. It isn't leaking from connector to connector, as in it seems to be tight enough, but it is the hose itself that is leaking. The rubber washers are in place. They leak more when the water is flowing to the washer. Help.

Since you used the washers and the connection is tight, only thing I can guess is that perhaps the round piece (that turns to tighten) that is at the end of the metal hose that connects to the water supply might have been been perhaps in shipping somehow. Or you may have tightened the connection to tight or the rubber washer might have been damaged. Cut off your water supply, disconnect the hose from the water supply, look at the washer, look to see if the end is out of round, if all looks good, reconnect and see if that works, also look at the spicket threads, might be worn and letting water leak. Don't forget to let us all know what was wrong and how you fixed it.
