    I was wondering what the legal age in Indiana was for a children to state wjich parent they wanted to live with.:confused:

    Hello Rain:

    They can state it at any age, however it carries no legal implications. The judge will listen and consider what they said.

    At the age of 18 they may live where they wish, until that time, only the judge can rule where they are to live, Each judge and court has its own rules as to what age the children can speak in court and tell the judge what they want, the judge still does not have to do it.

    So if you want the child to live with you, and the child wants to, you will have to file a motion with the court to change custody of the child.
