My son was shot and arrested. He already has a case where he is in a program. They had him at the court house for grand jury appearance to tell his side but they never bought him up to appear but indicted him anyway. What can I do I need him to fight this from the outside I'm a single mom of 3 and a nephew. Can't afford bail ( 1500) bond. Trying to find a pro bono lawyer to help us immediately

Contact the Federal public defender's office immediatedly. If it's a felony he is entitled to the services of an attorney, and the FPD will probably be appointed if your son cannot afford a privately hired attorney.

There is no need for him to appear and testify at the grand jury, in fact most never have the suspect there. He would have had a public defender at the hearing.

Why do you feel he needs another attorney ? Depending on the evidence often, his testify can do more harm.
