Hi I have a friend who's birthday is coming and we have been very close. I was wondering would it be nice to send her flowers on her birthday. I do like her more than a friend so I'm not sure what I should do. If so what kind.

I would say for a close friend who is not your girlfriend, a mixed bouquet.
Yellow and salmon roses, white daisies, orange lilies, pink carnations - or whatever you like.
Red roses are too formal.
I'd go pick them out in person with the help of the florist, deliver them in person, and say 'these remind me of you - got to go, see you!'
If she says 'don't go' then stay.

When giving a gift you should think about the person receiving it. Let what you know about her be your guide.

Do you know if she is allergic to any flowers? If you don't know or aren't certain, then you may want to go for something else.

Do you know if there are flowers she likes or dislikes? Does she have any strong feelings/memories about certain flowers?

Is she currently in a relationship or just got out of one?
